Each year from 15th of May until 31st of October you can visit numerous attractions having it included and free of charge with your Zell am See – Kaprun summercard. Absolute must visits among the list of activities included in the summercard:

Duration & availability of the summercard

The summercard is only available for partner accommodations and can’t be bought separately. The cost of the summercard will be calculated into the total price of the accommodations and will be included into the total price of each apartment or chalet. Depending on the time of your stay, the ticket will be valid either fully or partially for your stay:

  • from 15th of May until 14th of July & 15th of September until 31st of October all activities will be valid from the day of arrival until the day of departure
  • from 15th of July until 14th of September some activities will be valid starting on your second day (such as ascent & descent tickets for Kitzsteinhorn or Schmittenhöhe)

How to get the summercard

The summercard can be created either in digital form or print. For the digital version of your summercard you would have to download the Zell am See Kaprun App and create an account using the same e-mail address you entered in our online check-in. Schmittenhöhe Zell am See

All operating facilities can be used once in six days free of charge. Included in this are guided hikes on the Schmittenhöhe itself.

 What is there to experience? On the summit promenade and the mystical forest there are plenty of surprises. If you enjoy action, then hike the Schmidolins Feuertaufe (Baptism of Fire) or let the children do a few laps in the E-Motocross Park.

Glacier Kitzsteinhorn

You can avail yourself of unlimited use of all operating cable cars up to 2450m. The cable car up to the summit at 3000m can be used once in the six days free of charge.

 What is there to experience? From the Summit World at 3000m you can access the Panorama Platform “Top of Salzburg”. From there you can see the incredible view of the surrounding mountain ranges. In the Ice Arena there is also summer time fun in the snow such as slides, snow beaches etc.

  

MK Maiskogelbahn

The mountain and valley journeys on the family friendly Maiskogel Mountain can be used as often as you like free of charge. The valley station is based at the beginning of Kaprun village.

Regardless if it’s hiking, biking or simply enjoying the sun, the Maiskogel invites families for a fun filled day. The best part is that at the valley station there is a small amusement park and an Alpine Coaster Maisflitzer.

 

Alpine reservoirs Kaprun 

You can avail of unlimited access with the Zell am See - Kaprun Summer Card. The interior of the Dam walls is definitely worth a visit. You can take a guide for €5.50.

 Mooserboden Reservoir holds 160 million cubic metres of water. To stand on the wall of the dam is unforgettable! The Herbal Path (Kräuterlehrpfad) and the hikes to the viewing point on the Höhenburg guarantees unforgettable holiday moments. 

 

Boat tour MS Schmittenhöhe

The round trip and the trip across the lake can be used as often as you like. However, in the summer months July and August you can only use it once in the six days free of charge.

What is there to experience? On the round trip our guests get to experience the region from another view. The view of the inner village as well as the surrounding mountain range can make your heart skip a beat. You decide: either luxury on the “MS Schmittenhöhe” or take the route of the sister boat “Kaiserin Elisabeth”.

  

Beach Club Zell am See

The Alpine bathing paradise. You can choose from one of three beach clubs and the best part is you can use them all free of charge:

Swimming Pool Zell am See

An alternative programme for bad weather. The entry into the swimming pool is free of charge. For an additional charge you can avail of the sauna facilities.

What is there to experience? For our smaller guests there are slides and a diving tour. For the adults there is a big wellness area with kelp blocks sauna, bio herb sauna, Finnish sauna, steam room, infra-red cabin, rainforest and waterfall showers, a silent relax room and a comfortable lounge bar.  

 

Kaprun Museum

Take the trail that tells the 4000 year history of Kaprun. Also in bad weather Kaprun offer many cultural and alternative programmes. Free entry into the museum allows guests to discover the history of Kaprun in an authentic surrounding.

What is there to experience? From archology to tourism to power plant construction visitors will travel through time in the history of Kaprun. Hands-on a historic exhibition pieces are included.  

 

Vötter's Oldtimer Museum

Old-timer history from the ‘50s to ‘70s including cars from the “Wirtschafts-Wunder” (economic wonder) time and older exhibits. From cars, tractors, motorbikes to the largest Cabrio of the world they all can be admired here – all with free entry!

What is there to experience? Over 1400 m2 you can find roughly 200 exhibits from all European countries. Among them are a steam train from 1983 and the original carriage Number 4 from the Viennese Ferris Wheel.

 

The most beautiful Gorges in Pinzgau

Whether it is Sigmund Thun, Vorderkaser, Seisenber or Kitzlochklamm (klamm = gorge) they all have one thing in common: they are some of the most beautiful gorges in all of Austria. All four gorges are accessible free of charge with the Zell am See - Kaprun card.

What is there to experience? The gorges offer spectacular hikes beside thunderous water. As well as the fantastic “Night of the Waters” in Kaprun with music and light shows, the natural wonder of the gorge is always a magical experience for both young and old. The hikes are mostly short so are suitable for families. Tip: They are ideal to visit in bad weather!

 

Museum Ritzen Castle Saalfelden

The Ritzen castle - the peasant life of the past years. The highlight is the nativity world of Xandi Schläffer and an extensive votive picture collection. The entire experience can be enjoyed free of charge.

Nationalparkwelten Hohe Tauern Mittersill

The National Park Hohe Tauern all under one roof. Included is a spectacular 3D Cinema and free entry with the Zell am See - Kaprun Card.

Wildlife and Adventure Park Ferleiten

The adventure for all generations, with 250 wild animals and over 40 rides. The entry into the Wildlife Park is free of charge. The rides are paid for with coins directly at the rides.

What is there to experience? From bears to lynx all domestic animals are gathered. In the mood for a guided caddy tour after a walk around the Wildlife Park? No Problem. The guides of the Wildlife Park will explain everything during a drive through the Käfertal of the alpine habitat.  

 

Show Mines and Mining Museum Leogang

In the oldest show mine of the country they mined silver over 600 years ago. Explore the historical tunnels on narrow roads and experience interesting facts about mining of the past centuries. The authentic main building of the mining museum was joined with the historical Thurnhaus. This means double the exhibition space for the same price – free of charge with the Zell am See – Kaprun card

What is there to experience? After the eventful guide through the tunnels guests can recharge their energy with regional products in the Knabenstube. Anyone who did not see enough in the tunnels can discover more with a visit to the mining museum. Also in the beautiful ambiance of the mining village huts, there are various special exhibitions showing the traditions from mining and culture.

  

Krimml waterfalls

The largest waterfalls in europe! The guest can decide how far they want to hike. Additionally there is a shuttle service which you need to pay for. The entry to the waterfalls is free of charge with the Zell am See - Kaprun card.

What is there to experience? Admire the largest waterfalls in europe. The thunderous water falls for 380 metres before it crashes into the Salzach and continues to flow. Whether you are young or old there is something for everyone. Everyone can recharge their energy after a hike in the Gasthof Schönangerl.
