The summer season was used for 2 major constructions this year, one on the Kitzsteinhorn and one on the Schmittenhöhe.
The Alpin Center on the Kitzsteinhorn, which was opened in 1973 and was renovated in 2001, is welcoming you this year with a completely new look. The facade was designed with lots of wood and glass, which is also reflected in the restaurant and bar area. The lift to the restaurant on the first floor is also new, making the Alpin Center and the restaurant barrier-free.
The Sonnkogel on Schmittenhöhe has also undergone construction work, with 2 new features.
The existing Sonnkogel restaurant has been completely renovated and the lift station also shines brand new. The Sonnkogel lift has been modernised with a combined lift. In winter, a brand new 6-person chairlift with heated seats, a weather protection bonnet and automatically lockable closing bars takes you back to the top as fast as possible. An 8-seater gondola lift takes you up in summer.
The inauguration of the new lift must of course be celebrated with the Pure Mountain Vibes on December 16th & December 17th at various locations on the Schmittenhöhe. The successful Austrian band Folkshilfe awaits you on December 16th at the Areitalm and on December 17th. There are unplugged concerts by Lemo, Simon Lewis, Emelie Trahan and Rhodes at the Sonnalm and in Franzl.
With the Ski Alpin Card you have a total of 408 kilometers of slopes on 121 lifts in front of you. No matter whether in Kaprun, Zell am See or Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Fieberbrunn and Leogang, with this card you get maximum skiing fun. The daily price in high season is €72.00 per adult and day.
